Job Title : Area Operations Manager
Roles and Responsibilities
● Responsible for
managing in-store Operations for Instamart pods in the city
● Own metrics like
order to bill times, SDC, manpower costs, packaging costs etc.
● Responsible for
setting up processes around manpower roaster to ensure effective picker
utilization.
● Own end to end
planning and execution of measures to provide high standards of customer
experience including QC across categories and ensure good packaging methods are
practiced.
● Ensure the team
is trained well and attrition rate is under check.
● Responsible for
inventory management at the pods i.e. ensuring proper stacking of inventory,
adherence to FEFO/FIFO and accuracy of products count is high.
● Adherence to
various processes such as liquidation, RTV, wastage management and expiry
checks.
● Coordinate with
the infra team to set-up and maintain the assigned pods.
● Ensure timely
execution of strategic initiatives as well as contribute with ideas for
continuous improvement in POD operations.
Desired skills
● Graduate with
2-4 years’ experience post MBA/BE in tier 2/tier 3 colleges.
● Prior experience
in process design and operations implementation (preferably in logistics/supply
chain management)
● Strong
operational, analytical and numerical skills; Ability to use data effectively
for devising operations strategy
● Strong time
management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize in order to meet
daily, weekly, and long-term requirements and goals
● Good leadership
skills (Experience in managing blue-collared employees is a big plus), conflict
management skills
● Passion to
deliver a positive customer experience; Ability to maintain composure in
difficult situations; Good communication skills
● Attention to
detail and ability to critically think through and resolve problems;
● Understand lean
operations strategies (especially concepts relevant to services industry)
● Able to come up
with new ideas to improve customer performance standards
